This policy explains what information Align Labs collects when you use Brillo, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have over your data.

Align Labs respects your privacy. Brillo is a product operated by Align Labs, and we collect only the information needed to provide, secure, improve, and communicate about Brillo.

1. Information we collect

We may collect account details, contact information, workspace content, usage data, device information, payment-related metadata, and communications you send to us.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate Brillo, personalize product experiences, process transactions, respond to support requests, monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

3. Sharing and processors

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with trusted vendors who help us host, analyze, support, secure, or bill for the service, and only under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

4. Cookies and analytics

We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and understand how visitors interact with the website.

5. Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information.

6. Your choices

You may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of your personal information where applicable. You can also adjust cookie settings in your browser or unsubscribe from non-essential communications.

7. Google user data (Gmail integration)

When you connect a Google account, Brillo requests read-only Gmail access (gmail.readonly). We use it solely to find invoice, bill, and payment-received emails and extract the transaction details — amount, date, currency, and vendor — so you can review and record them in your Cash Flow.

  • What we access: messages matching invoice, bill, or payment criteria, including the message body and any attached invoice or receipt files. We never send, modify, label, or delete your mail.

  • AI processing: at import time, the relevant message content and attachment are processed by an AI model (Google Gemini) to extract the transaction fields. This content is used only for that one-time extraction and is not used to train or improve any AI/ML model.

  • What we store: only metadata (sender, subject, message id, a short preview snippet, and attachment file name, type, and size) and the extracted transaction details you review. We do not store full message bodies or attachment files.

  • Sharing: we do not sell this data, do not use it for advertising, and no human reads it except where you explicitly request support, for security, or to comply with law.

  • Retention and deletion: stored tokens are encrypted at rest and deleted when you disconnect the account; you can delete imported items at any time.

Brillo’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
